We're home!

Mommy and Daddy brought Julia home from the hospital on Thursday. The back seat of our car is a little more crowded than it used to be, but there is still a little room for Barley among the car seats. Julia looks almost exactly like I did when I was born except that her hair is copper-colored. She is also very well behaved and content like I am.

Mommy's placenta was the talk of the hospital. She had a Vasa Previa which is a rare condition (about 1 in 3000) which is almost always fatal to the baby once a Mommy's water breaks. We were very lucky that Dr. Padin found out about Mommy's special placenta on the morning of Julia's birthday. You can find out more about vasa previas here.

I've been telling Julia about my Blog and telling her that she should get started with hers. I don't know how soon that's going to happen.
